I didn't even know I was a socialist. I found myself distanced further and further from my party. I found that I was supporting policies and ideals that are fundamentally socialist. It is my belief that many more Americans are aligned with socialism and they just don't realize it. I support government healthcare, national sales tax as opposed to income tax, collective bargaining rights for all workers, pro-choice, and to take it one step further I support government provided education at all levels including college. A nation has an absolute duty to provide certain universal services to it's citizens to keep them healthy and well equipped academically in order to compete on a global level. I reject the idea of American exceptionalism, the theory of income tax and trickle down economics, corporate de-regulation, healthcare insurance, electoral college, and "too big to fail". Let's close the socioeconomic divide in America and take back our country.
