It actually started while I was doing historical research. At this point in time I had insurance and a good job, writing was just a hobby I did because I love to do it. I study mostly early Christian history and I noticed that the writings of the early church fathers were filled with socialist ideology. It was only when I lost my job and insurance did I realize just how bad the system is. I went from having good credit and decent paying job to becoming a walking debt without work.

I found that the creditors were unmerciful and relentless, hounding me constantly day and night. I found this odd that they refused to give me any kind of leeway, especially since they all received billion dollar bailouts. I then began studying economics and the history of capitalism. I was utterly disgusted. I was always led to believe that capitalism was the best system, only to find out this was far from being true. I delved even deeper into the wisdom of the church fathers to find that saints like St Basil the Great and St John Chrysostom were strong advocates of what we now call socialism, and spoke against economic inequality. It was then that I realized that capitalism is economic darwinism and socialism, at least the majority of its ideas is Christian.

I had no choice. I joined the socialist party. I now am also writing on social justice and equality.

I am a socialist because I am a follower of Christ. The Kingdom of God lived and taught by Jesus is a God-centered paradigm of humane and pacifist socialism. I am a pro-life follower of Jesus Christ, in that I am anti-abortion, anti-war, and anti-executions.

The way of Jesus is a narrow one, and I have followed his path of righteousness, peace and Agape love imperfectly in this life. I have failed many times. But failure does not define who I am, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ defines who I am-a child of God.

I want to live the remainder of my life in peace and in a just relationship with other human beings. I am a religious, born-again, evangelical Socialist. As a former pastor and a retired Registered Nurse, I believe healing is a human right for all people. Healing includes the spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of our being.
