Would it be feasible to have a national organization to train and educate people on the topic of socialism? Basically how to organize, run for office and on socialist theory. I have taught myself about socialism and I have just started learning about how to organize, by asking people online how to get started. Is there a organization with this goal in mind that we could all get behind and fund or would we have to form our own?

The public education system is controlled by modern liberals who belong to powerful government employee unions. Modern American liberalism is a form of social liberalism developed from progressive ideals such as Theodore Roosevelt's New Nationalism, Woodrow Wilson's New Freedom, Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal, John F. Kennedy's New Frontier, and Lyndon Johnson's Great Society which combines social liberalism and social progressivism with support for a welfare state and a mixed economy. Socialism is taught and encouraged at the university level and most of the professors are very socialist friendly.

It is very different in my town. Socialism isn't taught at any university or college beyond the paragraph that is in a text book. The professors knowledge does not go beyond that paragraph and most are not socialist friendly. This is just my town I live in, I have little experience outside of it. I would like to know of the places that have a course on socialist theory and other related topics.

Me thinks you and others would be best off having a reading list of the most current schools of thought and to create locals around the idea of books clubs and activism.
